This Summer Term 1 topic for Art is: Super Sculptures.

The National Curriculum targets for this term are:

I can experiment with basic tools on rigid and flexible materials.

I can make textured collages from a variety of media by folding, crumpling and tearing materials.

I can develop techniques to join fabrics and apply decorations such as running or over stitching.

Learning and resources for week beginning 20.05.2020

This week's task is:

Use recycled materials to make your own sculpture! Look at the example below for inspiration. 

This week's task is:

1) Watch the BBC learning videos to familiarise yourself with sculpture.

2) Download and read through the PowerPoint for Week 1 at the bottom of this page. 

3) Choose a sculpture to research. Have a go at drawing the sculpture and write a short paragraph about it.

Don't foget to send me photos of your drawings so that I can post them to the website!


Learning and resources for week beginning 11.05.2020

This week I would like you to have a go at creating your own picture showing you and your favourite things, in the style of the artist Gabriele Galimberti.

1) Think about your favourite things. This could be toys, books, pictures or photos of loved ones. 

2) Arrange them in a way which you think looks interesting. Think about what colours could go together. Think about the size and shape of the objects. 

3) Ask an adult to take a photo of you with your composition and email it to me so that I can show them on this page!
