Reception Maths Mastery

Reception Class have been practising their maths knowledge! We've been focusing on composition of numbers - Understanding that one number can be made up from (composed from) two or more smaller numbers. And the cardinality of numbers which is; understanding that the cardinal value of a number refers to the quantity, or ‘howmanyness’ of things it represents.

We've been studying the number 4 and how 4 can look different. We have been investigating different ways to make 4 and that 1+1+1+1 = 4 and also 3 + 1 = 4.
