We Are Artists!

Our topic this term for Art in Year 3 is 'Journeys'. We have talked a lot about what this topic means; and started to look at different types of art and artists. The first type of art we looked at was aboriginal art. We learned that Dreamtime art uses lots of symbols to do with Australian culture and with nature. We used these symbols and style of painting when we created our own sketches about our own journeys. We then used watercolours over the top of our pencil sketches to emphasise the colours of these symbols.
