Year 6 Science Week!

In Year 6, we have been researching the famous scientist Tu Youyou. This amazing woman was the first Chinese woman to win the Nobel Prize for her contribution to medicine. Her research, which developed a treatment for malaria, has saved millions of lives across the world.

We investigated what type of exercise increased our heart rates the most. We did this by carrying out different activities and then checking our pulse. We have presented our findings as bar chart. Have a look at our data.

We were lucky enough to dissect a lamb heart for Science week. It was so fascinating to see learn about how the heart works. We explored the left and right side of the heart and discovered what each sides function was.
