Our Geography Learning Question for this half term (Summer 2 2023) is

OUR KEY GEOGRAPHICAL SKILLS....

Locational knowledge

. Pupils can point to where countries are within the UK and their key topographical features.

Human and physical Geography

. Pupils can confidently describe aspects of human and physical geography.

. Pupils can explain about weather conditions/patterns in the UK and parts of Europe.

Geographical skills and fieldwork

. Pupils can ask and answer geographical questions such as: Describe the landscape? What is it like? Why is it like this? How have people affected it? 

. Pupils can sketch maps, plans and graphs, and use digital technologies in fieldwork. 

. Pupils can, with increasing accuracy, use maps, atlases, globes and digital/computer mapping to locate countries and describe features studied and can use at least one confidently.

. Pupils can use basic geographical words such as meander, floodplain, location, industry, transport, settlement and water cycle.
